Online Dashboard Project

First project is always a special and close for someone. Similarly, I also had my first experience working in real-time Software Development Project. I really enjoyed working in the project and had tremendous learning experience. Here’s some details about the project.

We adopted the agile methodology of Plan, Design, Develop, Test & Release cycle during the entire project iteration and released ahead of the plan.

This Dashboard is the product which has been developed with listing all the features and functionality based on the voice of the customer.

Project Name: Online Reporting & Automated Dashboard Project

Project Planned Duration: 1 year

Project Actual Duration: Phase 1 – 4 months Phase 2 – 4 months

Project Team: 5 including Corporate support team

Project Methodology: Hybrid of Waterfall & Scrum methodology

Project Software used: MySql, PHP, MangoDB, Jquery, HTML, CSS

Database format: Excel extract from various In-house tools

Project Management Tool used: Excel for product backlog management & Action Tracking, E2 (Internal tool) – Timesheet Management

The ‘Online Dashboard’ team was tasked to prepare an online dashboard to capture all the key financial and resources metrics and other information related to Avionics team. The dashboard has come up very well and good visibility and access to key metrics and parameters is available online.

The team has done a very commendable job, which has been many times in addition to their regular project work. The elegant design of dashboard and programming skills are particularly noteworthy.

Experience from Initiating to Closing:

Would love to share on how we started with identifying the resources from the pool, finalizing the technology, limitations, challenges faced, how we tracked the progress by following hybrid model of execution with every 2 weeks of planning, design, develop, test & release of the features of the dashboard.
