Achieved My PMI-ACP Certification

In January 2025, I proudly earned my PMI-ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner) certification – a milestone that reflects not just my professional experience, but my commitment to continuous learning and growth with Agile mindset.

With over 10 years of working in Agile environments, adopting an Agile mindset has become second nature to me. But I wanted to take things a step further – to formalize my experience, deepen my understanding of various Agile frameworks, and challenge myself to grow.

I set a clear goal: to achieve the certification in three months. The first step in the journey was completing the required 28 contact hours (PDUs), which I did through a self-paced online Agile course.

Once I completed the PDUs, I moved on to the PMI application. It was detailed and required me to document my Agile experience across different projects. That part of the process made me pause and reflect – looking back at the many Agile teams, transformations, and challenges I’ve been a part of over the years.

With the application approved, the real preparation began. I followed a structured study plan over the next couple of months, carving out time during early mornings and weekends. I reviewed study materials, took mock exams, and focused on truly understanding how to apply Agile principles in various real-world scenarios.

Then came the exam – a 3-hour test that pushed me to think critically and apply everything I’d studied. And the icing on the cake? I scored Above Target in all three domains.

For me, this certification isn’t just a badge – it’s a personal win. A reminder that with the right mindset and a clear goal, growth is always possible. I’m excited to take this knowledge forward and continue evolving in my Agile journey in both personal and professional life.
