- Marketing Gurus stress so much on the CTA? It’s because that’s the part of content people will remember the most.
[Growth Hack 5] Get 100s of Tweet Ideas in 30 seconds – Use peppertype.ai by pepper content. [Growth Hack 9] Increase Open Rates by 5x by doing this! 😁 (Case Study) – Our goal is to optimize each part of the funnel to the fullest
What is App Vault though?
AppVault is a Recruitment Marketing B2B Platform. You must have heard of the platform at some point if you’re into the Recruitment Marketing industry.
Here’s ALL the tea:
- You’ve probably heard that using First Name in email subject lines boosts your open rates by creating that element of personalization. AppVault went a step further with their secret sauce.
- Credits to that secret sauce their open rates went through the roof. Not even kidding when I sat they increased by 5 times from 13% to 66%!
So what exactly was cooking up in that hack?
- AppVault thought that First Name is overused in subject lines and people don’t consider such emails personal any more.
- So they decided to find another piece of personal information, something their customers interact with every day and feel pain about.
- In their case, they used the name of an applicant tracking system.
- This is pretty niche information and that’s the key. They actually went looking for the exact problems their customers were facing on an individual level.
Use this in your business (Yep, it’s possible)
In your case, you can use any unique name of something niche that your customers use now and feel constant pain about. Once you establish that personal touch, it’s a done deal!
[GrowthHack 10] Convert your trial users before the trial ends (Super Smart) – from trial to paid subscriptions – Every user on the 6th day of the trial period automatically received a mail for the offer with a link to upgrade. Use the trial period to your advantage and hook the users with an irresistible offer which ends right before the trials end. They have a 7-day trial and after analyzing they noticed most of their conversions happened on the 7th and 8th day and then saw conversions decrease significantly. It actually makes sense because people forget about tools/products once they stop using them and the urge to buy the product again is way lower.
[GrowthHack 11] Identify who is talking about you in public!– Knowing what people are saying about you and analyzing the brand image on the internet is critical. You can do that by using a tool like “Mention” – It will help you keep a track of every single time your brand is mentioned on the internet and help you jump into conversations in the best way possible. Let’s say a potential customer is confused and asking for answers on a forum. You can quickly jump in and save the day! You can easily monitor what’s being talked about your brand across the web such as forums, blogs, news, review websites and social media.
[Growth Hack 12] Use the Wiki-Strategy to grow your blog from 0-100k visitors – Those guys have been at the top of their game for years. Content is top-notch, the SEO game is always on point, you get exactly what you search for.
Write quality content, plan it wisely, take a structured approach to content creation and you’ll build your blog quickly without compromising the quality of it. So that’s all the VS magic sauce for today.
- Make the Content quality best of the best: If your content isn’t designed to knock the ball out of the park then what’s the purpose behind it? The basic premise behind writing your blog should be to provide a bombshell of value to your readers otherwise you’re just screaming in a soundproof room and hoping someone will hear you.
- Loops, lots and lots of Loops: No, I’m not asking you to confuse your readers here. Instead you direct them, show them the right way by linking other relevant content to the. You can use external links initially and then go back and update them to your own articles. In this way your content circulates well in your space.
- Become an SEO minded not an SEO enslaved writer: Don’t you hate it when you click on a link to read about something and instead it’s just a never ending dose of “<keyword> this, <keyword> that”? SEO is important but it shouldn’t degrade the quality of your articles.
- Use the power of Guest Articles and Guest Posts: You cannot be an expert at everything. Your audience would love hearing from a fresh voice from time to time. So use new voices, invite guest articles from other writers. Make sure you’re holding up a two-way street here. They write for your site, they receive a link to their site or any other such incentive. What you’re essentially doing is building long term relations.
- It’s all about sources and research: Make sure you link your sources and that they’re credible sources. Facts, for example, can’t be taken from individual blogs because they aren’t the most reliable source of information. Create a 365-degree approach to your research process.
- Plan and Organize your content: Create a content calendar. You don’t need to use high end planners, just a google sheet with what you’re planning to post that week/month, how and when you’re planning to post it is enough. Keep your guest submissions in mind while planning your content.
- Set your content marketing goals and track them: Set goals for your number of visitors and conversion rates. Check in weekly/monthly and compare your expectations to the actual numbers.
- Promote, Promote, Promote: Don’t be the annoying spammer that everybody blocks when it comes to promotion. You can add value and then promote on social platforms like facebook and LinkedIn, use email newsletters, repost on reddit, Quora, the world is your oyster here if you make sure that you’re promoting the right content on the right platform.
[Growth Hack 13] A Simple Hack to reduce email unsubscribes by 50% – One of the biggest responsibilities you have as an email marketer is to reduce unsubscribes and spam reports as much as possible.
- Give the readers an option of choosing the frequency at which they want to receive emails from you. You can either ask them in the sign up process or ask them to set up their preferences in a welcome email.
- Giving readers the option to manage their subscriptions can bring down the unsubscribes drastically. It will not only increase the satisfaction of the readers but also help you in segmenting your audience into different groups. Now what if the readers could set their preferences and get only those specific emails they are interested in?
[Growth Hack 14] Find Phone Numbers of almost anyone on LinkedIn! – The tool is called lusha (dot) com and it helps you in finding accurate phone numbers of your prospects just by a click of a button.
- Sign up at Lusha.com
- Add the Lusha extension to your chrome or the browser you use.
- Visit LinkedIn profiles of people you want phone numbers from!
- Click on the Lusha chrome extension and voila, accurate phone numbers are served on a platter for you😉
- Pro-Tip: You will also be able to access the emails ids of the people along with the phone numbers as well!
T[Growth Hack 15] Turn Inactive subscribers into paying customers (3 Steps!)– How big is your list of inactive users? Have you taken any steps to reclaim them? Venngage tested a new approach and closed 3% of these inactive users.
- Brainstorm webinar ideas and chose a topic that was broad enough to attract their target audience, while still being related to their core offering (an infographic maker).
- They discovered a suitable topic based on it’s virality.
- Using this knowledge they showed the value of their product from a new angle.
- Lastly, they invited all inactive users and closed them. They gained customers from these inactive users.
[Growth Hack 16] Double your sales using this simple hack! Can we quickly agree that when you’re selling your product the best case scenario is to get more people to sign up to your highest priced plan? This single hack can make your highest priced offers look so enticing to your visitors that they won’t be able to click away. To explain this hack, let me take the classic example of the Economist’s pricing: Go check out their pricing page and you’ll see a 3-tier pricing: If you are using a tier based pricing then your work’s already almost done for you.
- Online subscription, $59
- Print subscription, $125
- Online and print subscription, $125
[Growth Hack 17] Increase Email Subscribers by 500% using the 10-second rule – Using too many popups, lead magnets, chatbots, all at once can backfire leading to a bad user experience and hence increasing the bounce rate in the long term and lowering your site’s SEO score and authority on the web. Want to know how you should use the popups to capture more leads, get more email subscribers and increase your site’s domain authority in the long run? Use the 10-second rule!
The University of Alberta increased it’s email subscribers by 500% using a popup survey by Qualaroo that asked anyone who spent more than 10 seconds on the site: “You seem interested in UAlberta news. Would you like to sign up for the Daily News email?”
[Growth Hack 18] Viral your Sign up process (It’s Dead Simple!) – Here’s what you need to do if you want to create a viral sign up process: Think about it, if you have a user on your sign up form/page, you have a great opportunity to not only convert that visitor into a user but a referrer.
- Instead of just asking for basic information like Name and Email address, you can experiment with your signup forms and ask the new users to share the sign up form with a couple of friends.
- The goal here should be to make it dead simple for the new users to share the sign up form with someone (just through a single click).
- You can do that easily by adding social media integrations and asking for less.
- There you go, you now have more than one signup from a single user.
[Growth Hack 19] Create an Awesome Lead Magnet in 60 minutes – Handing you the cheat sheet to his killer lead magnet method NOW! What would your audience rather want to get for free in exchange for their email? A link to a blog or a copy of a bestselling ebook priced at Rs.500. The content is still the same, just the way it’s presented has changed and tada!
- He copied a series of his existing content centered around a particular topic (He gathered a bunch of blogs).
- He then turned them into an ebook, which only took less than 30 minutes.
- Then he made it available to buy for people on kdp.amazon.com, that too in 20-30 minutes.
- Woah! The ebook is ready to go!
Do this to apply the same for yourself:
- Checkout your existing content and gather a bunch of content around the same topic (Whether Social Content, Blogs, Podcasts, Videos or Slides).
- Turn it into an ebook and make it available for people to buy it using kdp.amazon.com for free!
[Growth Hack 20] Generate 320% more leads in 5 minutes! – He just made his lead-generating banner “Sticky” (floating on top of your screen while you scroll down). Let me give you a hand. I decided to make your life a bit easier and found a free WordPress plugin that allows you to make any element on your site “Sticky”/floating. The plugin is called WP Sticky Menu. So simple that you can apply it too right now and it doesn’t take more than 5 minutes!
[Growth Hack 21] Keep bringing people back by sending behavior based emails – It’s rather nurturing and caring for your community, making people feel heard and acknowledged. This care extends to the emails you send. Behavior-based emails will help you in doing exactly that.
- Set up a software like Intercom or Autosend.
- These tools will help you track how the users use your application and give you the power to send out custom messages based on their behavior)
Here are some sample case scenarios to give you more clarity on the topic:
- If a user has not logged in for a month, then you can send an automated email, asking if they need any help with the software.
- If a user is using the software frequently then you can ask them to opt for the premium option and do more things.
- If a user is doing a lot of manual steps and the same can be done on your tool’s premium version, then you can send an email explaining how taking the premium option will get them things done faster.
[Growth Hack 22] Index a page on google 3x faster using these hacks! Here’s what you can do to make google index your page wayyy faster than it normally does:
- Put a link to your content on a prominent page on your site: How is google going to know what page to concentrate on if you’re not giving it direction? Place your content on a page that’s already getting hits and pretty soon you will direct the algorithm towards what’s working on your site. In simple language, this means you give the algorithm the direction in which you want your site to grow.
- Make sure you add a reference of your new page to your sitemap: Sitemap is, as the name suggests, a blueprint, a map of whatever is included in your site. When you add your page to the Sitemap it records it as uniquely yours. This will create a pattern through which google will identify and classify your content.
- Create an RSS Feed to automatically let search engines know there’s something new on your website: An RSS feed allows you and google to know what’s new on your site. The updates here are automatically noticed by google too. So what you’re doing here is basically letting your page wave a “I’m here” flag to Google.
[Growth Hack 23] Increase App Downloads by 26% (ASO) – if you’re launching an app, you’re not competing with ten or hundred competitors, you’re competing in space that features at least thousands of apps similar to yours. Follow below useful hacks. Did you know that as of fourth quarter of 2020 Google Playstore has 3.14 million apps according to Statista.com?
- Instead of regular screenshots, added more lifestyle images – how a human interacts with the app.
- Add CTA right on the image (screenshot captions)
- Turn 2 separate images into a big one (panoramic gallery)
- Add branded elements.
[Growth Hack 24] Use browser notifications as a retention tool (I love this!) – Speaking of responsible use, the number one criterion for this is that You need to have a high enough traffic to your website or a high enough order value to justify the costs. Here’s what Browser notifications can do for you:
- Browser Notifications are something relatively new to businesses so not many companies are using it yet. This gives you an edge over your competitors.
- These notifications pop in as reminders. Your brand stays in the mind of your customers after such repetitive reminders.
- Their delivery rates are phenomenally higher than email. Since there is no spam box for browser notifications they go straight to your customer.
- You reach your users on almost every browser even when they are not on your website.
- All your visitors have to do is to click one button and they are instantly given access to the info they need. No email address or other personal information is required. There’s lesser opt-in effort both on your side as well as the visitor’s side.
- Browser notifications operate in Real-time and facilitate the feature of instant messaging.
[Growth Hack 25] Use Social Proof to foster trust among your visitors – Us humans have a tendency to demand social proof, an assurance that something works before we invest our time, money and energy in it. Social proof on landing pages and pricing pages is the quickest way to gain trust of your leads and convert them into paying customers. BUT As with pretty much everything else in the world, you overuse these and you would be the Fake Frank or Narcissistic Nelly who no one wants to be in the shoes of.
- Testimonials from customers
- Featured tweets about your company
- Logos of some of your well-known clients
- Quotes from industry leaders
- Badges of companies that have reviewed you
- Highlighting the number of customers or users you have
- Safety badges from internet authorities like SSL providers
- Featured case studies
- Images that show professionalism and authority, like photos of doctors or professors
[Growth Hack 26] How to connect with people who are email protected on LinkedIn?- There are two ways.
- This is the easiest way. When we try to search for people’s emails, You can use tools like Hunter, Toofr, Anymail finder and Clearbit. It’s very simple. Just use your work email ids and create an account and search for the company the person works in and once done, you will be ready with a list of email ids of all the employees of that company!
- Use Snov.io to get emails from LinkedIn itself – Search for the keyword like below on LinkedIn and click the snov icon and BOOM! Emails served for you on a platter.
- For this you can use this tool called Email Hippo. https://tools.verifyemailaddress.io/ It basically gives trust scores to emails which signifies if you have a legit email or not.
[Growth Hack 27] How to get featured in top media publications for FREE! – Use this platform called HARO (Help a Reporter). HARO will help you to connect with relevant journalists out of their massive database of more than 55,000+. Lets see how this works. Journalists already know what stories they need to cover in the near future. But sometimes they need the expertise of people like you from different industries to complete their stories. So, while writing their stories, Reporters create a HARO and every week you will be receiving all the HAROs published on the platform. Keep the emails short: Reporters don’t have the time to read your long emails. Reply Fast: Most of the reporters have tight deadlines, so the faster you send your part, the better chance you have to get published! Don’t ask for promotions: Solve their problems, answer their questions and naturally you will be promoted.
[Growth Hack 28] Get 47% more story views on Instagram using this single hack – The hack is to spread out all your stories throughout the day so that your stories popup in front of people’s feed throughout the day whenever they open the app. Instead of pushing 5 stories at once, spread it out and upload them once every 30-60 minutes and see the magic happening! It can easily get you 40-50% more views if you do this for a week!
[Growth Hack 29] Get the exact domain names you want!– use something called iwantmyname.com. Essentially it allows you to buy domains from 400+ extensions (other than .com, .net or .in). So, even if some extensions are taken, you will be able to get your hands on the exact domain name with a different extension.

When defined, you have a benchmark with which to compare your campaign, ad group, ad, and keyword performance. Define your targets for a lower CPA and higher CTR. Set your ad rotation to ‘Rotate Indefinitely’. Finally, as an overall approach, always look for “why”
[Growth Hack 36] Produce content which piggybacks off of a big industry event – if you have attended a flagship level industry event and gotten access to some kick-ass information which could help tons of people like you but they didn’t have the privilege to be a part of it, you can use that to your advantage. Make the most out of it by including some of it in your own social media content strategy. Use this opportunity to create content around the following points:
- What was your experience in the event?
- How were the speaker sessions?
- If you got an opportunity to connect with some awesome folks?
- Things which most people didn’t know about the event.

[Growth Hack 41] The most simple yet the most ignored growth hack – People NEVER opt in for MEDIOCRE CONTENT. You must have heard it time and again and no it’s not an overrated thing that people say just for the heck of it. Content IS the driving force of your brand.
Content IS the driving force of your brand. Because people do not pay for mediocre content. Before any kind of growth hack, make sure your product is on point.
My first workshop was completely live, but I had some structure already in my mind and with time, the structure just kept on getting better and better. I started using pre-recorded videos, live Q&As, interactive videos etc. to keep people hooked to my programs. Unless your content is REALLY great, no one will bother to opt in and pay you money for your content. Always think of ways to provide 100x more value than what people opted in for.
[Growth Hack 42] Here’s How he grew his email list by 3,418% (Nearly 200K!) in 11 days! To be honest even I didn’t believe it was possible when I received notification for Neil Patel’s blog but the curious cat in me obviously roared out and I read the whole thing!
He chose his text editor called Sublime Text as the prize of the giveaway.
- Chose right prize to attract only qualified subscribers
Choosing the right prize for your giveaway determines the kind of people you’ll attract as a result of it. Josh knew exactly what sort of audience he hoped to attract by hosting the giveaway. He knew that by choosing his own text editor he would not only be endorsing his product but also pull in a certain class of people, the majority of them being potential clients. In simple words, he set a standard of qualification for the participants.
- Leveraged self interest
Josh found out a smart trick to make people share the giveaway without feeling like their chances to win might decrease. So when a person submitted their entry, he had an entry confirmation autoresponder set up that sent an additional offer.
Each person who would share a special “lucky URL” (a unique link to his giveaway) and bring in a new giveaway entrant would receive three extra chances to win. This resulted in a win-win for both parties.
[Growth Hack 43] Step-By-Step Process to Find Winning Hashtags!– Hashtags make your posts relevant and popular while feeding the algorithm data about the kind of content you publish.
- Use Hashtagify.me to find hashtags most relevant to you
- Search for hashtags and their popularity.
- Monitor performance, reach, trends, the best time to post, etc.
- Analyze the kind of hashtags your competitors use.
- Want to go a bit more Simple but still make the hashtags effective?
- Go for root hashtags i.e. #travel, for example. Then, pick less common hashtags that are suggested to you and best suit your niche. That’s it, you’ve got a solid set of hashtags.
[Growth Hack 44] Rank for 100 New Keywords without creating any new content!- Leverage “LSI keywords”. LSI means Latent Semantic Intent.
- LSI keywords are those semantically related to the main keyword which means they are often used in the same context. Google has changed a lot. SEO is much more complex than what it was 10 years back.
- Gone are the days when just stuffing relevant keywords in the content would result in the content ranking No.1 for your target keywords. If you replicate the same today you will be banned due to the ever evolving algorithm (thank you for nothing google.
- The algorithm can now figure out the context of your main keyword so it can serve the right articles for each search query. LSI keywords improve your SEO in a few ways: If you add LSI keywords in your content then Google’s algorithm will be able to understand the context you’re using the main keyword in and hence help you rank higher on search.
- Keyword Density is another important SEO metric. But the thing is, you cannot stuff your main keywords, as doing that will lead to google banning you. To avoid that you can use LSI keywords. You can rank for new related keywords just by adding the LSI keywords strategically! You have understood what LSI keywords are and why they matter.
- Now here’s how you can find the right LSI keywords in a couple of minutes: The fastest and easiest way is to type your main keyword on Google and scroll down all the way to the search results page.
- There you will find related searches that Google suggests. Another way is to look at the suggestions that pop up when you start typing something in the search bar in Google. But here’s the best way IMO: Use LSI graph.

[Growth Hack 45] How to be the best website for your visitors? – Your site shouldn’t be a theatre with no directions. Guide the people towards what they want to see. If you want people to make it through your funnel, remember to keep things as simple and straightforward as possible – or risk losing them.
All those random popups, buttons, links and what not just floating around and making you click on THE most irrelevant stuff.
The tough truth here is that, props to google, most of your visitors have at least thousands of options and they won’t hesitate switching sites if yours is too much trouble.
[Growth Hack 46] Convert blogs into professional looking :Blogs have become obsolete. There are more than a billion blogs on the web and it’s too much information in a scattered form for people to consume. Videos are trending and are going to be the thing for the next decade or so.
The tool I have been using for the past one year is Invideo.io
I like to call this tool “Canva for Videos”. It makes professional video creation so simple. Invideo has this feature called “Text to Video”, which will help you automatically create videos for you by selecting one of their templates. All you need to do is copy-paste the blog content or put the blog post url if published on the web or upload the pdf file of the same. And Boom! Professional looking videos are ready in just 5 minutes using the existing content for your social media. Also, if you don’t like the readymade templates (which is pretty rare), you can use a blank canvas and create your own design from scratch and use it as a template.
[Growth Hack 47] Find the best PPC Keywords in just 30 seconds! Every growth hacker thinks google ads are god’s boon to businesses. Even if you don’t, you would still know how important it is to find the right set of keywords for your PPC Campaigns. While starting out it can take you ages, lots of money, and tons of A/B testing in order to find the most profitable PPC campaigns
Well, today I have a super easy process which you can use to find the best PPC keywords in just 30 seconds (that’s right) ! Go to http://www.spyfu.com/ Spyfu is a well known keyword research tool both for PPC Campaigns and SEO Content Marketing. It is famous among growth hackers for it’s amazing competitive analysis features.
2. Input URL of your strongest competitor and hit Enter.3. On the dashboard find “Paid Search (PPC)” and hit “PAID KEYWORDS”.4. Sort the results by “Cost Per Click”.5. Choose the #1 least expensive suitable keyword that demonstrates the user’s intent to buy. For example, if they look for a product/service/specific problem, use the word “buy” or comparison keywords between two products.6. Google the keyword and the same as your competitor has.7. A/B Test till you improve your Cost Per Click and outperform your competitors.8. Rinse and repeat. 😉
[Growth Hack 48] Having a 97% annual customer retention rate (case study) – Your customer retention rate can make or break your brand. Any company that keeps their customers coming back for more creates a flawless cycle for revenue generation.
Adroll, the company that has already achieved 97% annual customer retention rate.
No, they did not do it by asking generic questions, offering discounts or spamming people about their new features (fyi, no genies or magic wands were involved either 😛).
Here are the exact steps (that can be implemented by you as well):They send automated emails with reports and metrics about a user’s account, showing off the main metrics right inside the body of the email. In those emails they offer personalized insights for improvement using their SaaS mechanism. They tie this mechanism to specific points of customer data and make it personalized.
An example of this mechanism will be: “Do xyz to boost your ROI.”This benefits both the company AND it’s customers
[Growth Hack 49] Promote smartly on Reddit (Untapped platform) – Reddit as a community platform is amazing. You can literally have a 1 hour chat with a like-minded stranger through a sub-reddit, but is not the kindest to promoters, I’ll admit that. The community will probably ban you and kick you out if you promote something repeatedly.
There is a way to promote on Reddit – I bring you an interesting case study on how Lookbook managed to generate 48% of traffic from Reddit without hustling and without being trolled.
Here are the steps they followed:
1. Choose the most suitable subreddit.
2. Looked at a list of moderators using this URL:
[reddit.com/r/subredditname/about/moderators](http://reddit.com/r/subredditname/about/moderators) (replace subredditname with your subreddit name)
3. Clicked on a moderator’s name.
4. Clicked on “send a private message”
5. Asked a moderator to promote their product launch + incentivized the moderator.
6. Got promoted by a moderator!
That’s it!
No one will burn your company’s metaphorical flags now :).
Oh and by the way, want to know the results that Lookbook achieved?
They generated 229 upvotes, 762 comments and a ton of free traffic. This is how they amassed 48% of their traffic from Reddit.
[Growth Hack 50] Show up on every question that exists in your niche! – With an estimated monthly user base of over 9 million people, Quora is one of the largest Q&A platforms out there. You can use it to generate a lot of engaged, relevant traffic for your business.
- When used cautiously, Quora can be a powerful tool for improving SEO.
- It offers a soapbox for developing thought-leadership.
- It lets you engage potential customers in discussion, and discover what they want from your product.
- It lets you raise awareness for your product, and drive targeted traffic back to your website.
Q&A sites are useful for you as well as your customers so need a strategy to handle them otherwise your brand awareness and interest is bound to waver.
In addition to sites like Quora and Reddit, it’s relatively easy to find a handful of specialised, industry-specific Q&A sites in virtually any niche.
Let me give you a quick industry specific example:
In terms of SaaS growth hacking, there are a few Q&A sites that might come in handy. They are:
- Inbound.org – HubSpot’s inbound marketing focused platform.
- GrowthHackers.com – A Q&A site dedicated entirely to the noble art of growth hacking.
- Stackoverflow – A world renowned Q&A site for developers around the world.
[Growth Hack 51] Feature on Hacker News (And get your first set of customers) – Hacker News is a breeding ground for tech enthusiasts and early adopters. You must’ve landed on its website quite a few times yourself.
Hacker News is mostly used for ealy publicity. You put up a post asking reviews for your startup. The community members will reply with their honest feedback.
The best way to leverage Hacker News for early publicity is actually quite simple. Just post “Ask HN: Review my startup, xyz.com”. After you’ve posted, engage with the feedback you receive and get a discussion going without being defensive.
[Growth Hack 53] Increase revenue by 5x using this simple rule! – Unbounce added customers’ first names to:To the subject line of their emails. Personalization is the way to go when it comes to revenue generation.
Example: I made you a video, [First Name].
- To the body copy.
Example: Oh, hi [First Name].
- To their video thumbnail (ask your CTO how to automate this).
Example: [First Name], watch me!
- To their landing pages.
Example: [First Name], Save XX% on the New Essential Plan.
[Growth Hack 54] 100k visitors a month in 6 weeks (case study) – Here’s a gist of what you need to do if you want to grow your visitors and email list beyond the usual proportions:
- Consistent and high levels of effort: When you really work on your content, it shows in your final result. Create something that looks and feels like it took a lot of effort on your part. So here “10 ways to expand your business”, for example, becomes “100 tips to grow your business in 29 days”.
- Make your “why” for hitting that subscribe very clear: I know you’ve seen people squeal in joy when someone yells “surprise” in soap operas but doing that with your content wouldn’t exactly be the smartest choice People do not want to be kept in the dark so give them an incentive to subscribe. Make the FOMO as real as it can get.
- Harness the power of Traditional Media: Create a list of journalists, tweet or email them, personalize the whole communication process, get them hooked and Get yourself featured in mainstream media.
- Use Twitter Threads: Peter took this hack straight from Harry Dry’s book.Build these threads, insert graphs and images, be concise and promote yourself in the very end of the thread and you’ve built an attractive Twitter Thread.
- Consider your platforms: Your audience is just as likely to hangout on platforms like Reddit or LinkedIn. Take time to see what’s your audience’s go-to platform and carve a space for yourself on that platform.
- Take care of signups, hosting and RSS feeds: These are some of the early mistakes made by Peter. Track your signups, upgrade your hosting to your requirements and study your RSS feeds.
[Growth Hack 55] Pay Attention to these 3 things while building a landing page! Here are 3 deets you do not want to miss when it comes to building your dream landing page:
Use a click popup CTA on your landing page:
Rather than using a form, try a button and a click popup as your CTA. People tend to ignore forms when they see how many form fields are required, so easing them in with a CTA button can help increase overall conversions.
Use directional cues:
Pin-point your audience towards your CTA. The key here is to remind them where and why they need to click on your CTA
Make the length of your landing page proportionate to the size of your offer:
There’s always a never-ending debate on whether you should go with short form or long form landing pages.
The simple answer here is to customize your landing page according to your offer. So if your CTA is for collecting email addresses then go for short form, if it’s for a high ticket purchase use long form landing pages.
You’re persuading your lead to make a decision when they click on your landing page. That’s why it should flow seamlessly and be easy on the eyes and mind.
[Growth Hack 56] The Easiest way to get backlinks from 10-50 DA sites – You do not need to convince owners of the high-authority websites to place a link to your website. Buy a high-authority 10-50 DA (domain authority) website for $100.
Here’s a cool free online tool to show you powerful domains that expire soon:
2. Once you buy it, place it on a hosting, located in a Data Center that is different from what you use now.
3. Then there 2 ways:
- Restore content from archive.org (you may have copyrighting issues) and then place a
bunch of links to your website.
- Place an article of yours with a link to your target website.
Boom! You’ve got a link from a 10-50 DA website easily.
[Growth Hack 57] How to find anyones email in less than 5 mins – This is probably the easiest method to find emails. Most of the time, we intend to send emails to people working at a specific company, who hold a specific position. Let’s say, you are trying to find someone working in Marketing team of Tesla. My go to head tool for something like this is, ClearBit connect. It comes in as a simple plugin on Gmail where we can find emails.
If you dont find the email using clearbit, you can use any of the following tools below :
Well, you could use one of the hacks mentioned above or may directly use a tool like Snov.io . Here is how its done and its damn simple.
- Install the chrome plugin.
- Signup for a free account
- Search for the keyword like above on Linkedin
- Click the snov icon your chrome and you are done 🙂
[Growth Hack 58] Become more trustable than your competitor using this one hack! – It’s showing transparency to your visitors.
Basically, compare your product/services with your competitors fairly on a single page. But won’t it be counter intuitive? Well, no! By making direct comparisons like these between your product and your competitor’s (Hubspot does it with rivals Marketo, Howuku does it with rivals Hotjar), you take control of a customer’s buying process by highlighting your key strengths and their weaknesses which could be an unsolved pain point of your customer.
[Growth Hack 59] Hook your Audience with a Kick-Ass FREE Tool – Are you offering any free tools? Their tool was a unique, one-of-a-kind solution that provided instant gratification. This positioned their brand in a far better way than their competitors.
[Growth Hack 60] 0-20k Email Subscribers in a year (Five Step Process) – You need to give them a part of you if you’re asking them to give you a part of their attention. Me when someone subscribes and joins my growth hacking community 🤩
Here’s how you do that in 5 easy steps:
- Identify where your audience is: Look around, see what channels your audience uses for communication. These channels can be large platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Reddit. They can also be individual forums and smaller chat rooms.
- Add value: Keep in mind that you do not just dump links on people here. See what works where. Reddit, for example, works well for long form content.
- Transfer the medium: Now that you’ve added value by your content you politely ask the reader if they would like to join your email list.
- Multiply the value: Your journey has only begun when the reader subscribes to your email list. Now you offer them the quality content they were promised when they clicked subscribe.
- Ask for referrals: Here you not only see to it that your content is being shared but also that it is being shared in the right form on the right platform. So if you’re sharing a particular snippet from your post and you intend that to be shared as a Tweet then a simple “Retweet this” can direct your reader when they repost your content.
[Growth Hack 61] Convert your blogs into a lead generation machine! – While long-form content is what you need to rank on top of Google, you have to understand most people don’t read the entire blog post. They skim through it.
Brain Dean does it really well. He writes long-ass blog articles on Backlinko.com with 5000-10,000 words and since they are very detailed, he turns them into a nice downloadable file which acts as a lead gen machine for him!
Writing Content for the web and SEO might sound boring and outdated, but google is the number one search engine in the world, and most of the content that ranks on the top is high-quality blog content.
[Growth Hack 62] Get replies from (almost) anyone using this one trick! – writing kick-ass cold emails is art about which we will talk about in the further hacks but I really wanted to talk about a simple trick I use to get replies from almost anyone while cold emailing or sending them a message on social media.
First up you have to understand that if your cold emails are not personalized, precise, and to the point with strong social proof then it’s very likely people will not reply back to you or even open your email.
Please make sure you brush up your email writing skills.
Hey {Name},
I trust you are doing well. I understand you are busy but I see you opened my email/message but didn’t get a chance to respond.
If you are not interested, you can reply back to me with a “NO” and I won’t bother you again 🙂
And that’s it!
[Growth Hack 63] How we generated 31,000 leads by using a viral giveaway campaign? – I ran a viral giveaway campaign! But what does that mean? But giveaways are viral in nature, what did I do differently?
You see, in normal giveaways, a random person gets the prize and the rest of the participants get nothing. But not in the case of my giveaway.
Structure of the Giveaway:
So, the Giveaway had many tasks like sharing posts, following across social media and referring the Giveaway to friends, and each user was credited with respective point values, only after the manual confirmation of each of the tasks.
The prizes were categorized as Grand Prize (Top 5 and 5 random winners), Hustler’s Prize (Top 500), and The Assured Prize(Everyone who joined).
This led to his growth across all social media platforms. His massive LinkedIn audience moved to Instagram and other social platforms due to this Giveaway.
We also crafted a Customer Value Journey, which included five steps:
- Awareness: Through Video and Posts of the Giveaway
- Engagement: Audience Actions
- Subscription: Anyone who enrolled as a subscriber
- Excitement: Rewards announced resulted in social shares
- Promotion: The Social Shares was achieved with referrals
It took almost a month in advance to plan this Giveaway. Specialized teams were formed like the Media Team, Social Team, Verification Team, Coordinators Team. The Media Team was responsible for content creation; the social team planned the entire event. The verification team verified all the entries manually to make sure no one got an unfair advantage. Finally, the organization of coordinators monitored the whole backend and solved queries of people of the Giveaway. And for sponsorships and collaborations, Vaibhav himself handled everything.
The collaborations were made with: Find That Lead (Worth $31,961.90), SilferBots (Worth $5,57,649.90), InVideo (Worth $245,000), Shield Analytics (Worth $16,365.60), Publer (Worth $38,916), Pitch Ground (Credits with $500), Digital Deepak (Worth $49,500), Micro Video Mastery by Avi Arya (Worth $49,500)
You can run your own viral giveaway too using vyper.io
[Growth Hack 64] Collect user feedback on your website using emojis! – Getting user feedback and understanding them to make your website better is something every website owner must do. While you can use popup surveys and forms to get their feedback, most of the time, people don’t like to give out detailed feedback.
The easier way to do it use through emojis, because let’s face it, people love using emojis. It’s fun, interactive and easy to collect feedback. You can use a tool like emojics to add a tiny widget where people can drop their feedback easily. Just like the image below.
That’s not it. After you click on any of the emojis, it prompts users to add their email id and feedback right there.
Let’s say you hit the angry emoji, It asks for your email and feedback.
But if you hit the wow emoji, it asks you to join their newsletter.
[Growth Hack 65] A simple trick to get more youtube subscribers! se the subscribers’ button link hack!
I was in your position a year back! I still am not a full-time youtuber. But whenever I created videos and promoted them on my social media platforms, I just used to write a post about the video and share it directly. While some people watched the videos, they didn’t go and subscribe to my channel.
Use the subscribers’ button link hack!
All you need to do is, find your channel link & add /?sub_confirmation=1 to the URL.
You can see the difference by clicking the 2 links below:
https://www.youtube.com/c/VaibhaVSisinty
https://www.youtube.com/c/VaibhaVSisinty/?sub_confirmation=1
You will see when you click on the second link, you see this popup:
[Growth Hack 66] Social Proof on steroids to increase conversions! This is where social proof comes into play. Social proof sells your landing page. This is how UseProof uses it: Whenever you visit their landing page or website, people keep getting small pop ups on the side, whenever someone buys/takes up a trial.
This adds ridiculous social proof because the tools show who bought it, from where real-time!
So, if you are selling a new product or you are a new brand people are not aware of, use this simple tool to add social proof and build trust among your audience.
[Growth Hack 67] Increase up to 80% Customer Retention just by simplifying the onboarding process – Attention Deficit Trait
Basically, I wanted you to understand what a new user might experience with the overload of information on the onboarding page, like the features, ideas, and benefits of your product just like those fancy words written in that phrase above.
All that information is so overwhelming that the users won’t give their attention to the actual information. It’s about managing the Value Proposition.
Here is what you should do to handle it:
- Understand that different users may have different goals with your product. Make sure you simplify and design the onboarding process to satisfy those goals in an apt manner.
- Ask the users some specific questions (not much!) during the initial signup process about how they want the product to work for them. Use that data to redirect them on the page or step of the process where they should be. (Remember, Hubspot doing the same by asking questions about your roles?)
- More questions mean more friction. In order to avoid that, segment the users in small cohorts, based on the landing page or email campaign from which they have come. Then, customize the onboarding experience for each segment. Maybe you can navigate them to the appropriate page, by using tutorials, FAQs, and other resources to present the most relevant information.
